Job Summary

A 3-4 month paid internship program that potentially leads to a full-time graduate trainee role starting in Autumn 2023. You will work within the China Private Equity Investment Team. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the investment team as well as other functions in the Schroders Group
• Perform market analysis, industry research, due diligence and financial modelling for private equity funds and direct investments
• Support data screening, sorting, and mapping for investment and business development opportunities
• Compile information and project documentation
• Prepare portfolio monitoring and reporting presentations to the Investment Committee and the Limited Partners
• Participate meetings with investment committee members, potential or existing investees
• Ad-hoc tasks within the investment team

Requirement

• Final year student with an excellent academic record pursuing a Bachelor or above degree from a leading university in China or from overseas
• Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint; Familiar with investment databases
• Passionate to build a career in private equity funds and direct investment on a global platform
• Prior experience in investment, banking, or consulting would be advantageous
• Major in business, finance, economics are preferred and all disciplines are welcomed
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and a team player
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
