86Research is a boutique equity research firm headquartered in Shanghai and specialized in Chinese companies listed in the US and Hong Kong stock markets. We help investors identify extraordinary investment opportunities in China’s high-growth industries, including Media, eCommerce, Online Entertainment, Education, Online Travel, Lodging, IT Services, and FinTech.
Our sales representatives are based in New York, Boston, San Francisco, and Shanghai. Our clients include some of the most prestigious mutual funds, hedge funds and family offices in the world.
The team is led by C. Ming Zhao, the founder and the Head of Research. Prior to 86Research, Ming had over a decade of equity research experience in Chinese technology sectors. In his field, Ming was ranked "Best Analysts on the Street (#1, 2010)" by Wall Street Journal and "World’s Top Analyst (#2, 2008)" by Financial Times.
Job Description
We are hiring a full-time Associate Research Analyst in China’s IT Services industry. This entry-level job offers a fast track to those who aspire to become a publishing analyst with his own voices heard on the Wall Street.

RESPONSIBILITIES
⚫ Conducting company and industry research in enterprise software, cloud computing, and other related sectors
⚫ Building and maintaining fully integrated financial forecast models
⚫ Formulating and articulating investment views in detailed written reports and oral presentations
QUALIFICATIONS
⚫ A bachelor’s degree or higher from a top university
⚫ Keen interest in both technology and investing
⚫ An analytical, evidence-based approach to addressing debates
⚫ An excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
⚫ CFA exam candidates preferred

Ming graduated from University of Pittsburgh (MBA), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (MS) and Beijing University of Posts and Telecom (BE). Ming is a CFA and FRM charter holder.
