In 2007, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) established an R&D centre in Shanghai as part of global R&D with an end-to-end, fully integrated, state-of-the-art drug discovery and development organization to make innovative medicines and address medical needs for patients in China and worldwide. The Shanghai GSK R&D centre is responsible for the innovative medicines for neurological diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, neuropathic pain, epilepsy and others) , with teams also present in UK, US sites.
