Ford’s history in China can be traced to 1913, when its first Model T was imported and sold in Shanghai. Presently, Ford’s wholly owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and investment in China include Ford Motor (China) Limited, Ford Motor Research & Engineering (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., Ford Automotive Finance (China) Ltd., Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd., Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. Ford Motor China has introduced a number of exciting models to the Chinese market. The current model range consists of Ford Mondeo, Ford Focus, Ford S-MAX and Ford Transit. The new Ford Fiesta will be launched by the end of 2008. Ford affiliated brands – Mazda and Volvo Car – market a range of distinct models in China as well.
