When Frequentis entered the Chinese Air Traffic Management (ATM) Market in 1995 and installed its first VCS 3020 at Shanghai’s main airport, it established the foundation for a decade-long partnership with China’s Air Traffic Management Buro (ATMB). Since then Frequentis delivered more than 1000 Operator Positions to Airports and ATM Control Facilities all over the country, and today almost every flight in China is at one point of the journey guided through a Frequentis Communication Systems.
The rapid growth of China’s Air Transportation market and the resulting operational challenges however demanded a significantly different technical and logistical support concept compared to other countries. This was a main motivation for Frequentis to establish subsidiary company in China – Frequentis (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Today Frequentis Shanghai provides the complete range of Frequentis ATM services in the country, including marketing & sales, technical support and design, project management and implementation, as well as the full spectrum of after sales service activities.
